Posten Bring, the Norwegian postal service, needed an easy-to-use, comprehensive tool that could empower dozens of employees across multiple countries to prioritize and execute digital marketing tasks. Siteimprove was quick to supply just what they needed.

The problem

As traditional mail services declined, Posten Bring (formerly Posten Norge) expanded its mandate into digital mail solutions, self-service options, and ecommerce logistics and now has a footprint in not just Norway, but Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. When that expansion and complexity demanded advanced digital marketing solutions, the company went with Google Analytics and BrightEdge, an SEO solution. But Knut Pevik, Posten Bring’s head of paid search and SEO, found himself one of just two users of those solutions — a situation that was untenable in such a large company.

The solution

Given that Posten Bring prioritized implementing a comprehensive platform that would roll SEO, analytics, and ads into one environment, and that offered robust training and customer support, Siteimprove was the best option. In short order, Posten Bring eliminated Google Analytics and BrightEdge and implemented Siteimprove; because Siteimprove is so easy to use and the onboarding and training was so comprehensive, users across the company quickly became adept using it.

At Posten Bring, activity plans help keep users on track, while metrics like the Visitor Engagement Score not only give a clear view into what was working but also motivate users. Being able to prioritize and assign tasks from right within the platform also gives users a sense of ownership. "With thousands of employees in different domains of the business and in different countries, it’s critical that they be self-directed," says Knut.

The ads module has also been transformative: Knut can clearly see where traffic moved between sources and then move budget accordingly. That improvement has been part of a larger story of the benefits of digital transformation at Posten Bring, because across the organization, users can access and act on digestible information, without needing to be experts.

Reporting has also become a breeze and helps aid discussion about the company’s direction. "Our Siteimprove reports go directly to our leaders now. The platform has become a key part of our business," says Knut.

The results:

  • 129 Siteimprove users
  • 19% increase DCI score
  • 13% increase SEO score
